Using Crystals

Last Year I felt i needed to learn about Crystals and Gemstones and somehow incorporate using them in my Reiki. There are so many Crystals and Gemstones to learn about i didn't know how i going to learn them all


I have decided to carry one with me for a few days at a time and learn and feel the energies i feel  from each one.
For some reason i was drawn to my UNAKITE GEMSTONE.
 I love this stone and have been carrying it around for 2 days now.


UNAKITE is a combination of two stones that have solidly bound together RED JASPER  and  EPIDOTE. This is where the meaning what comes together belongs together.

UKANITE  is said to uplift you when you are feeling down. You will start to see the beauty that is around you.
It is used with the Heart Chakra. UKANITE  draws of negative energy and blockage from the Heart Chakra

I have noticed i have been feeling a lot more peaceful and content within myself. I am going to Meditate with this stone.

I love how the stone looks and how the RED JASPER  and  EPIDOTE  blend into each other. This stone will certainly be used within my Crystal Healing Session.

HOW DOES REIKI WORK

REIKI ( pronounced "ray key") means Universal Life  Force Energy

REIKI   is a simple technique for transferring healing energy from a giver to a receiver.To be able to give Reiki you have to be attuned to it.The Reiki Attunement opens a channel so that the Reiki Energy can start to flow through. There are 3 levels of Attunements 

Student 1st Degree level 1.

Reiki Practitioner 2nd Degree Level 2,

  Masters  3rd Degree  Level 3

Reiki is the laying on off hands. Reiki can be given to humans or animals to help relieve pain and stress.Reiki heals the whole being, Mind, Body, and Soul.

Life Force energy not only flows through our Physical Bodies but also through our chakras, Aura's and Energy Centers, Reiki heals  by charging the Mind, Body, and Soul with positive Life force Energy,

Reiki can NEVER  do any harm as it is guided by the God-consciousness.Reiki will always go to where it is needed to work on the person for their highest good. Reiki helps unblock emotional or spiritual  blocks that can cause illness and dis-ease. Reiki is subtle energy and may take a few Reiki Sessions before any difference is felt.After having Reiki most people feel relaxed, uplifted, and peaceful.

Becoming a Reiki Practitioner i have noticed great changes in myself. Reiki helped change my whole way of living and thinking.If you have Stress, Pain, or Dis- ease  try Reiki it will  work to help you unblock negative thoughts and feelings.

Mikao Usui

 Mikao Usui was born in Japan on the 15th August 1865.
Mikao Usui was the founder of Modern Reiki. Reiki is a complementary Therapy for the treatment of the Mind, Body, and Soul.

Dr Usui spent many years in a Buddist Monastery.

Usui embarked on a 21 day meditation and fast on a holy mountain near Kyoto. After being asked by some of his senior students if he believed in the healing miracles of christ and whether he was able to demonstrate such a healing. he had no answer for this question. On the last day of his fast, he had a deep meditaion experience. He saw a shining light in the sky which moved quickly towards him.

This light struck him in the middle of his forehead ( the third eye ) he found himself in a state

of extended consciousness.In this state he saw familiar symbols from the snaskrit sutras. He felt charged as the symbols and mantras became clear to him.

Dr Usui decided to go to slums of Kyoto in order to heal the sick. Through his seven years living in the slums Usui came to realise that although he has healed the physical body, he had not taught a new way of living. he then set out the Reiki Principles, A few years before his death Dr Usui initiated Dr Chijiro Hayashi a retired naval officer.

 Dr Hayashi opened a clinic in Tokyo.He taught Reiki practitioners who worked in groups around the clock on patients. A young Japanese woman Hawayo Takata from Hawaii was suffering from a number of serious disorders including a tumor, she had an inner calling not to have an operation but to seek out healing in Japan. she came across the Reiki Clinic, where she stayed for several months. As a result she was completly cured.

Hawayo Takata became one of Dr Hayashi students and stayed at the clinic where she became a successful healer.

In 1938 Dr Hayashi initiated Hawayo Takata as a Master of the Usui System.

After the death of Dr Hayashi in 1941 Hawayo Takata became his successor. She healed and taught for many years. She was the only Reiki master until 1976.In the last few years before she died she trained some of her students as Reiki Masters.

By the time she died in 1980 she had initiated 22 Reiki Masters.Among them was her grand daughter

Phyllis Lei Furumoto, who in 1983 was recognized by the Reiki Alliance as a Grand Master of Reiki.

How I Found Reiki

This blog is going to be about Reiki.

Reiki has changed me in so many ways,

All my life I have been searching, looking for my true path but never really finding it. I was drawn to starting to make Polymer Jewelry, Sculpting, Oil Painting,Yoga but never really got the feeling I was whole something was still missing. Looking back I now see how I was being guided to where I am now in my life. ................. I wish I had took the short path instead of the long way round

I realise now learning how to make jewelry was me really learning about Crystals and Gemstones.which I will soon be using in my Reiki Treatments,

Sculpting has taught me about the Human Body and how it works,

Oil Paintings taught me about Colours and the Chakras.

Yoga taught me how to Meditate,visualisation and how use my breath.
Over the coming weeks I will do a post which will be connected to Reiki in some way.!

JADE GEMSTONE

The Jade Gemstone creates a positive attitude, and clear thinking. When the jade is carved into a butterfly it is the symbol of love and hold a special romantic significance. jade has also been known to create a positive attitude towards money it also helps to assist in clear thinking,

You can also carry a peice of jade as an protection amulet. Jade is a wonderful healing stone, it helps the body in self -healing, it works in harmony with the heart chakra, so opens the heart to love.

Jade also helps to see and helps others and see their problems more clearly, as the jade is a stone of clear thinking.It has been known for a healing stone for the Kidneys, Heart, and Stomach complaints.

Green is the most common colour of jade, there are many other different colours such as :

Green Jade
Red Jade.
Orange Jade,
Blue Jade,
White/ Cream Jade
Black/Grey

Jade is a balancing gemstone which works in harmony with the heart chakra , bringing peace , calm, it also helps with anxiety,

MEDITATING WITH GEM STONES

I am now learning about gemstones and crystals and how to meditate using them. There are so many to choose from, I thought I would start with the AMETHYST, The Amethyst is known as a POWER STONE.

AMETHYST is a quartz, it comes in colours ranging from purple, lilac, mauve and violet.
The word Amethyst comes from the greek word meaning " without drunkenesss" and was traditionaly worn to guard against drunkeness and to instill a sober mind,
The Amethyst is also believed to protect against poison.

The physical healing properties of Amethyst includes:
Calming of the nerves and also helps the nervous system,.
Helps to over come fears and cravings,
Helps to relieve headaches.

If you place an Amethyst in the sun it will help heal any negativity in the home. When the Amethyst is place in the moon light everyone in the home will feel clamer and peaceful.

The Amethyst has been used to open the spiritual and psychic centers,and has been worn to protect against witchcraft. The Amethyst can also be used as an meditaion aid when worn as a necklace. It is said to aid creative thinking. When the Amethyst is used in meditation it will increase positive spiritual feelings, The Amethyst symbolizes sincerity and spiritual wisdom.
